When I was up there no one gave us any grief for being there.
I cropped that headless shot to give it a different feel. I think I was going for an 'album insert' look.

i used to far more frequently. i just don't have a good camera anymore worth taking pictures with (though i used the crappiest of all kodaks in the past and did just fine; there's nothing a little familiarity and some photoshopping can't fix).

i love liberty in the evenings... they get mad now when you go up there after dark, which stinks since that's when it looks the most stunning. i just realized that the one with you headless next to the vent is at liberty, too. i haven't been out there in so long... i like that shot, though. it's got a weird element of darkness that makes me think of prisons or something.

Thanks Kacie! I'll admit I had to look up "chiaroscuro". Sounds like you've been in some art classes or something. The World War I memorial across from Union Station is a great place to walk around and take photos. Especially at night. There's lots of opportunity to get cool shots, cause there's lots of cool lights, lamps, lanterns, bulbs, etc.

You take pictures?

All photos taken w/ a Canon Powershot A550. Just a lil' point and shoot that you can trick into taking good pictures.
